Attorney for Brian Walshe withdraws from case

A judge on Wednesday approved a motion allowing accused killer Brian Walshe’s defense attorney to withdraw from the case. Walshe is facing charges including first degree murder and misleading a police investigation in connection with the death of his wife. In a virtual hearing centered on his defense attorney’s motion, the judge in the case said Walshe is now broke and can no longer afford his attorney. A Norfolk County District Attorney’s office spokesperson earlier this week confirmed Walshe’s attorney was seeking to withdraw. With that move now finalized, Walshe will be represented by a state-appointed lawyer. Walshe’s wife, Ana, was last seen on Jan. 1 after a New Year’s dinner at the Cohasset home she shared with Brian. Prosecutors have since said Brian killed Ana before dismembering and disposing of her body. Ana’s remains have not been found, to date.

Jason Dick | (TNS) CQ-Roll CallFor one family in Iowa, the choice between staying and going didn’t feel like a choice.“Do we stay and fight, or do we go? Watt was held to just five tackles and one tackle for loss while facing off mostly against right tackle Mike Onwenu. By JAKE OFFENHARTZ (Associated Press)NEW YORK (AP) — A Manhattan jury will soon decide if Jonathan Majors is guilty of assaulting his girlfriend following two weeks of clashing narratives about whether the rising Hollywood star was the aggressor or victim during a chaotic struggle in the backseat of a car.The court case has centered on allegations brought by Grace Jabbari, a 30-year-old British dancer who said the “Creed III” actor struck her on the side of the head, twisted her arm behind her back, and squeezed her finger until it broke during a dispute last spring. In closing arguments that ended before lunch on Thursday, an attorney for Majors portrayed Jabbari as a compulsive liar who concocted a story of an abusive relationship as revenge after catching her boyfriend of two years texting another woman. The 34-year-old actor, who did not testify during the trial, dabbed his eyes with a tissue as his attorney, Priya Chaudhry, implored the jury to “end this ...
